Current Development in Turkish Economy and State Subsidies for International Trade
A recent seminar organized by Turkish Canadian Chamber of Commerce (TCCC) attracted considerable interest from Canadian business owners. A Speech given by Mr. Mehmet Tan, Toronto’s Commercial Counsellor, on “Current Development in Turkish Economy and State Subsidies for International Trade” was regarded as the highlight of the whole event by many participants.Enes Kula informed the participants about the current activities of the TCCC.
Over 100 business owners from different backgrounds attended the seminar where the participants kicked off the day with a healthy breakfast. At the end of his speech, Mr. Tan responded to several questions mainly on State Subsidies for international trade.
At the end of the seminar Mr Tan was given an honorary membership plaquette by Alcos’ Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mr. Hasan Albulak on behalf of TCCC.

Mr. Tan thanked TCCC for the honorary membership and expressed his appreciation for TCCC’s active role in the business community and its contribution to improve international trade between the two sides of the Atlantic Ocean. Mr Tan also notified the crowd that Toronto’s Commercial Counsellor Office will be opening its doors to business owners in November 2011 and encouraged participants to contact the Office in need of assistance.
Towards the end of the seminar, Alcos’ CEO Mr. Hasan Albulak was also given a plaquette as recognition of his endless contribution to improve international commerce between Turkey and Canada by TCCC’s Executive Director Mr. Enes Kula.

In addition, TCCC’s officials took the opportunity to share some of the details about one of the upcoming seminars which will focus on the highly popular topic of “How to land a contract from federal, provincial and municipal governments in Canada” with the participants. Executive Director Mr. Kula also noted that he will be soon providing the Minister of Trade with a study focused on barriers in economic relations and recommendations on how to further improve economic relations between Canada and Turkey.
